What is the A.M. Best rating of the policy’s carriers?

Our partner carriers have a minimum A.M. Best rating of ‘A’ (excellent) ‘XV’ ($2B or greater). If you’d like additional information about the carrier please feel free to contact us.

How long has this policy been around?

We established our first policy period in 2007 – 2008.

How many clubs are participating in this policy?

As of today, we have over 300 participating clubs across the country.

Is the $15,000,000 limit of liability shared with other clubs?

No. The policy has a per location (per club) aggregate limit. Any claim(s) sustained by a participating club will not deplete or affect the availability of the limit for any other club.

Will the policy sit above Abuse & Molestation coverage?

Yes, we have the ability to provide Abuse & Molestation coverage. Additional underwriting is required to determine whether the club has the appropriate controls in place to qualify for coverage. Assuming the appropriate controls are in place and the club maintains the minimum $6,000,000 in underlying Abuse & Molestation coverage, our $15,000,000 policy will follow the underlying.

Will coverage align with my underlying effective date?

Yes, we have the flexibility to provide annual and long term policy options that align with your underlying programs.

Is the Specialty Golf Insurance program a Risk Purchasing Group (RPG)?

As of the March 1, 2020 renewal, Specialty Golf Insurance, LLC is no longer on the RPG structure.

What is the commission paid to the placing agent/broker?

Unfortunately, we do not pay commission on this policy.

What coverage does the excess policy provide or exclude?

As a rule of thumb, whatever the underlying umbrella policy provides, so will our policy. However, rules of thumb are not absolute and there will be limitations to coverage, namely, Directors & Officers, Employment Practices, Professional Liability (errors & omissions) and other coverage. Please keep in mind that coverage is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy as issued.
